At no cost!

Dear Fellow Quilter,

Have you ever had these problems with your quilting:

wasting fabric with cutting disasters?
• piecing blocks together and finding it looks all wrong when you’ve finished?
sewing the wrong pieces together or the wrong sides of pieces together?
nobody to ask when you have a problem?
• you want to learn more but the only classes you can find are out of state or you can’t make them timewise?
• Or, you can get to a class but you have to lug your heavy sewing machine and all your equipment along each time?
• So, you sign up for an online course and then find the information is only available to you for 90 days? Then you’re on your own again.

It’s frustrating isn’t it?

A creative outlet that should be (and can be) relaxing, creative and very satisfying actually brings you to tears of frustration.

• You waste fabric
• You waste money
• And you waste time.

I know how that feels…

…and I can reassure you – it doesn’t have to be like this.

My name is Karen Dennison and I’m on a mission to help quilters everywhere to be more excited and proud of your creations than you ever thought possible.

I want to take all the frustrations away so you can ENJOY your passion. So you can make fabulous quilts and quilted gifts. Quilts for yourself, for gifts, or even to sell.

Did you know good handmade quilts can fetch $800-$1500 easily? Really exquisite creations can be worth a whole lot more.

I’ve been sewing for over 40 years, making clothes for myself and my children as they grew up.  I made wedding dresses for myself, my daughters, my daughter-in-law, my niece and many sets of vestments for churches.

So, you could say I know my way around a sewing machine and I know about joining pieces of fabric together to make garments.

But it wasn’t until about 5 years ago when my youngest child left home and I converted her room into my sewing studio…

…that I started quilting.

I wanted to learn how to make some of the amazing creations I’d seen…

…and I wanted to put my own artistic spin on the quilt patterns.

And I knew from my years as a seamstress that I could only produce quality products if I had a good foundational understanding of quilting basics.

So I attended classes.

• I lugged my heavy sewing machine across town and sat in cold, drafty classrooms.
• I made mistakes with my cutting and measuring.
• I found the classes would drag at times – I wanted to go more quickly than others in the class.
• Other times the teacher seemed to rush through techniques and I had trouble keeping up.
• The teacher was often helping someone else when I needed a question answered.
• And then I’d get home to finish the project and there was no-one around to answer my questions.

It was frustrating – I really do know how you feel.

However, I persevered, and over the years I have made hundreds of quilted pieces, attended dozens of classes, and I’ve learned a lot…

And I want to share all that I’ve learned with you.

• all about paper piecing
• how easy techniques can create amazing designs
• how to do the actual quilting of the final pieces to add touches of design magic and hold it all together
• how to use my sewing skills and knowledge to make my quilting experience easier and more enjoyable
• and much more…

Here are the answers to all those quilting problems…
